By accessing and using the JessicasDresses website at www.jessicasdresses.com, you are accepting and consenting to the practices in these terms of use. “Jessicasdresses” (“we”, “our”, “us”) means its successors and assigns or any person acting on behalf of and with the authority of JessicasDresses.

Any instructions received by JessicasDresses from the Customer for the hire of the Dress and/or the Customer’s acceptance of the Dress supplied for hire by JessicasDresses shall constitute acceptance of the terms and conditions contained herein.

By placing an order with JessicasDresses you are entering a legally binding contract between yourself and JessicasDresses. Please ensure that you read all of the below Terms & Conditions carefully before looking to hire from JessicasDresses. By hiring from JessicasDresses, you agree to follow all of our terms and conditions.

By hiring from JessicasDresses, you agree to follow all of our terms and conditions. 

Garment condition

By hiring from JessicasDresses, you acknowledge that the dresses can display general wear. Do not expect it to be in brand new condition. Be aware JessicasDresses will not hire out a garment which displays damages or dirt.

Rental Period

The hire period is 4 days unless otherwise specified (allowing for 1 day before and 1 day after the event with some leeway). 

The rental Period starts from the day the dress has bee handed by JessicasDresses to the third party delivery service (Australia Post) until the rental return due date.

The dress must be returned by 12pm (12 noon) for a weekend hire where Sunday or a public holiday is the 4th and return day and on the last 4th selected day by 3pm for every other calendar day. Customer must provide a photo of the lodgement receipt.

Hiring/Booking

JessicasDresses requires a minimum of 4 business days notice for all hires to allow for postage.

If the hirer would like to make a late booking, JessicasDresses must be notified as soon as possible.

An address is required with every hire order, we do not accept P.O addresses.

If the hirer lives in a rural area, JessicasDresses must be notified.

Price and Payment

The Price shall be JessicasDresses’ current price according to JessicasDresses’ current Price list as detailed on JessicasDresses’ website. JessicasDresses reserves the right to change the Price in the event of a variation to the Customer’s requirements. The advertised rental price on Instagram may differ and does not establish an offer. The current price is always shown on the website.

We offer the following payment options to complete your booking:

  • Australian Credit/ Debit card (Visa and Mastercard)
  • PayPal

Note, JessicasDresses only hires within Australia accepting Australian cards.

Bond

Each item has a 30% bond that must be paid when hiring the item on JessicasDresses.com.

The 30% bond will be refunded to the hirer once the dress is returned in its original condition. The first dry cleaning fee is included in the hire price, but if further alterations or cleaning services must be used, it will be taken out of the bond payment. If there is any remaining amount left of the bond after extra services, the remaining amount will be refunded to the hirer.

Pick up orders

All pre-booked pick up hires can be collected from the Northern Beaches, Sydney. 

The exact location will be provided via email with your order confirmation.

Pick up is available from 10am-4pm and Day 1 is the first day that pick up will be available, however you can also collect on day 2 or 3 if you prefer.

The price of the hire will not change If you decide to pick up your hire on Day 2 or 3.

All pick up hire orders must be dropped back at the address by 3pm on the 4th day.

We are happy for you to send someone else to collect your garment on your behalf. To make it easier for us, please provide them with the booking details (brand/dress name/size).

Please bring your confirmation email with you upon pickup.

Postage orders

Please be aware of the possibility that water damage or creasing can occur during delivery. In the chance this occurs, contact JesicasDresses immediately.

All postage orders will be express posted with AusPost and a tracking number to ensure on time delivery. The estimated delivery time for express post is 2-4 business days- depending on your location and the time you submitted your order.

Our postage rates is $20 including the return delivery. Your delivery can be delivered to you between 7:00am and 8:00pm on the requested day of delivery or earlier.

If the hirer places an order LESS than 4 business days before the hire dates, and it doesn’t arrive on time, no refund or store credit will be offered.

We will supply a pre-paid return label with the delivery of the hire garment. If this prepaid label is lost, it is the hirers responsibility to express post the garment back to JessicasDresses at an AusPost office on the 4th and final hire day. A tracking number must be provided to us.

Upong receiving a customers order, we reconfirm address via email. Upon Email confirmation, we post the dress out to you so that it will arrive as early as possible, but at the latest on the day of event. It is upon our discretion to post the garment earlier where possible. 

Please allow 3-4 days for arrival if you live in a rural location and if in Western Australia/NorthernTerritory. JessicasDresses must be notified if the customer’s address is in a rural area.

We recommend booking the 4 day hire period for 1 day in advance to accommodate for AusPost delays.

It is further customer responsibility to confirm the correct address and mobile number in time for dispatch. Non-confirming may result in forced cancellation of order for a store credit or may result in the item not arriving in time. If the latter is the case, JessicasDresses will not offer a refund.

JessicasDresses does not take responsibility for lost, stolen or missing parcels by the customers chosen delivery address. It is the customers responsibility to choose a safe delivery address.

Once the tracking status shows delivered/ safe dropped/ left in letterbox/ collected/ awaiting collection at post shop or similar, the dress is deemed as delivered. The customer can take the matter further with Australia Post directly. 

Wearing the garment

Please treat our hire garments with love, care and respect.

Do not use fashion tape on the garment as it can cause slight damages.

Do not make any alterations to the hire garments.

Cleaning and damage

Do not use fashion tape on our dresses as it can cause damage.

Return your hire item completely unwashed and do not attempt to wash it yourself. Do not dry clean without our express permission. If you are worried about a spill or stain, please contact us as soon as possible.

If the hired garment requires extra cleaning, or repairs, the extra cleaning costs will be charged to the hirer. In the case of this happening, JessicasDresses will be in contact with the hirer. (Fake tan stains, makeup, marks, dirt, etc).

If the garment is damaged beyond repair or cannot be repaired to a suitable condition, the hirer may be charged up to, but not more than 150% of the original RRP of the garment.

If you have lost or not returned an item, you will be liable for up to 200% of the RRP of the item. 

By accepting this agreement, you give permission to JessicasDresses to charge fees for damage or loss of an item to the payment method you used when placing your order.

Cancellations by the hirer

JessicasDresses does not offer full refunds in the case of change of mind cancellations, ONLY non-expiring store credits will be provided.

JessicasDresses do not charge cancellation fees. 

If you wish to cancel your order prior to dispatch, please contact our Customer Service replying to your order confirmation email.

We will issue a non-expiring store credit if the customer cancels an order with at least 7 business days prior to the beginning of their rental period. If less than 7 days of notice is given before the first hire day, a 30% processing fee will be charged. To cancel an order, we require the customer to contact our Customer Service by replying to the order confirmation email. Upon cancellation of the order, we will authorise a refund issued as a non-expiring store credit to be put towards another dress hire at another time. The shipping will be kept as part of the store credit.  Note, monetary refunds are not available.

Once the store credit has been utilised, the hirer cannot cancel the booking or request another store credit for the same hire.

If you cancel after we have prepared your shipping bag we will deduct $15 AUD from your store credit.

If you contact us after we have dispatched the garment, your rental period has started and we will not issue a cancellation of your order.

If the hirer would like to exchange to a new date, dress or different size, at least 2 weeks of notice is required- these options incur a 20% processing fee and a maximum of one change is permitted in the case of multiple hires. 

Cancellations by JessicasDresses

Please be aware if JessicasDresses may be in the unforeseen circumstance of needing to cancel your hire. You will be contacted about the cancellation via email. You will receive a full refund of the hire cost.

JessicasDresses reserves the right to cancel a hirer’s booking in the event of external factors. These reasonings can include. but are not limited to:

  • A delayed return of the garment by the previous hirer, impacting delivery time.
  • Loss, damage or theft of the garment by the previous hirer

JessicasDresses may cancel an order where the shipping address was not reconfirmed in time via email. This is a forced cancellation caused by the customers non-confirming of address and mobile number for the item to arrive in time and will not result in a monetary refund. Customer will receive a full non- expiring store credit. If customer insists on shipping item we will not refund or credit for an item that did not arrive in time.

Late fee

The rental period shall commence from when JessicasDresses hands over the hire to the third party shipping provider (Australia Post) and shall continue until the Dress is lodged at the post office for its return to us or is dropped back to the given address for pick up orders.

In cases where the dress has not been returned to JessicasDresses by the Rental Return Due Date then JessicasDresses shall be entitled to charge additional hire fees until the Dress is returned to JessicasDresses and the Customer expressly authorizes JessicasDresses to deduct such additional hire fees from the Customer’s credit card which was provided at the time of placement of the Customer’s order. Such additional charges shall be charged a fixed fee of $80 for each day overdue. Weekend hire returns have to be lodged at an Australian Post Office on Monday before 12pm. Otherwise the hired garment is to be returned on the day after event.

Do not return via the AustraliaPost bins, as late fees may apply depending on the date Australia post scans the item in as they are usually lost/delayed.

If the Customer has not returned the rental item(s) within 10 days after the return date, JessicasDresses will consider the rental item(s) as non-returned and will charge the Customer’s credit card 150% of the retail value minus any late fees that the Customer has already paid. The rental fee will not be subtracted.

If you cannot meet the return deadline, you must inform us immediately. We may have a tight rental turnaround for that garment, so your late return could mean someone else misses out.

Returning the hire garment

Hire garments must be returned unwashed. The hirer must inform JessicasDresses of any marks, stains or damages.

The dress must be returned on or before the return date specified at the time of rental.

If the hirer has booked pick up, the garment must be dropped back as well. Do not send items back via post if you had booked to return it in person. The hirer must return by 3pm on the return date. The hirer must take a photo of the hire garment being at the return address and notify JessicasDresses.

If the hirer has booked/paid for postage, a pre-paid return label will be included in your package. The hirer must post before the post office closes. The hirer must provide JessicasDresses with the tracking receipt. If the hirer loses the pre-paid parcel, the hirer is responsible to EXPRESS POST the garment back to JessicasDresses at an Australia Post office and provide JessicasDresses with a tracking number. Late fees apply.  

Store Credit

JessicasDresses store credits are valid for one (1) year. Credits cannot be used in combination with other promotional codes. Store credits cannot be resold, they are non- transferable. Items already booked with a store credit cannot receive a new credit on that order. No credits for an order placed using a credit.

In the case of an unforeseeable event (i.e. we stop operating) JessicasDresses reserves the right to cancel any store credits without notice or refund.

 Refunds

JessicasDresses does not offer monetary refunds. Our refunds are issued as store credits that are valid for (1) year from issuance.

Promotional code

JessicasDresses coupon codes are non-transferable. They apply to the discount of the hire cost only and cannot be applied on the shipping fee. In the case of an unforeseeable event (i.e. we stop operating) JessicasDresses reserves the right to cancel any promotional codes without notice.

Promotional codes cannot be used in combination with store credits.

Changes to terms

JessicasDrersses reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. All modifications will be effective immediately upon posting to the website. By continuing to use our services after changes are made, you agree to be bound by the revised Terms and Conditions.

Acknowledgment of terms

By renting a dress from JessicasDresses, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these Terms and Conditions and agree to be bound by them.
